Tufnell Park Area Guide
Based in North London, Tufnell Park is situated between the London Borough of Camden and the London Borough of Islington and is within Zone 2. For many years the area was known for being the base supply of milk to a large amount of London.
The area has great transport links allowing residents and visitors to get into central London within 15 minutes from the many bus routes and variety of underground station in surrounding areas.
Residential buildings started being built around 1845 resulting in the attractive Victorian terraced house situated within the tree lined streets which is what appeals residents to the area. The affordable area for first time buyers provides a large selection of restaurants, bars and high street shops all within easy reach. The neighbouring areas include Upper Holloway, Archway and Kentish Town all of which also provide plenty of activities, schools, restaurants and bars and further transport links.
Holloway Road is home to the main shopping area for residents as well as the indoor market accommodating major stores and smaller shops too.
